When there is no interference, your nervous system controls and communicates the healthy function of virtually every cell, tissue, organ, and system of your body.
Your health and well being depend on three key aspects, the physical, the mental/ spiritual, and body chemistry. Nervous system communication is the physiological link between the three key aspects in the triad of Health. What might impair your nervous system and the function?
We invite you to come in and experience a healthier lifestyle from regular chiropractic treatments. Chiropractic, along with nutrition, exercise and lifestyle enable you to live a healthier, happier and more productive life.

In addition to chiropractic adjustments I may use several specialized techniques which apply to specific health concerns.
Chiropractic manipulation or adjustment is a drug-free, manual procedure. A Chiropractor will typically use their hands to manipulate the joints and soft tissues of the body in order to reduce pain and restore or enhance joint and muscular function.
Chiropractic health care includes patient assessment, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractic manipulation is a controlled procedure that rarely causes discomfort. Chiropractic Care would be indicated by disorders related to the spine, pelvis, extremity joints, ligaments, muscle, and their effect on the nervous system.
IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization)
SASTM (Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization)
Instrument assisted soft tissue technique that best addresses problems to the myofascia and specifically a diagnosis of tendinosis. These are conditions of tendon, ligaments and fascia where abnormal fluid exchange hence poor oxygenation to tissue results in the progressive buildup of fibrous tissue. In the case of tendinosis, this is degenerative in nature. Common diagnoses related to this include
This treatment approach is always accompanied by specific exercise prescriptions.
ART is an innovative soft tissue treatment system that takes traditional chiropractic work from a strict focus on the spine and extremity joints of the body and extends it to the musculature, fascia and nerves throughout the body. It is like chiropractic for the muscles and soft tissues and is quickly becoming a gold standard for soft tissue treatment.
It differs from traditional massage therapy in that it involves treating soft tissue under motion. In other words the body parts in question are moved through an active range of motion. The second key difference is the concept of tissue tension over compression. This makes a difference over classical trigger point therapy or massage therapy where compression is used and active motion never applied. This quickly becomes very dynamic in that a person can be treated emulating the exact motions that lead to the pain. So critical when most of the time, pain is not constant but associated with certain tasks, movements or athletic postures and movements
This treatment was developed over 20 years ago by Dr. Michael Leahy D.C. as a response to the growing trend in the occurrence and prevalence of repetitive strain injuries so common in our work place and sports endeavors worldwide. As result ART is an important and ever-present therapy found with most professional sports teams, and all Ironman triathlon events.
ART works as a great adjunct to chiropractic adjustments and massage therapy or independently as a stand-alone treatment.
Physical therapy for dizziness and imbalance, also called “vestibular rehabilitation” or balance rehabilitation.

Robin McKenzie is a New Zealand Physical Therapist who developed an innovative and effective method of categorizing and treating patients with low back pain and neck pain. His system has evolved to become a gold standard in assessment for musculoskeletal problems, both spine and the extremities.
I have found that taking the training from the McKenzie Institute, a not for profit continuing education organization, has allowed me to implement skills that are so important for identifying the major category of injury or condition present, what tissues are involved and then what treatment approach and tools to use to best address the treatment and recovery for a particular person.
The health professions are indebted to Robin McKenzie and his keen sense of observation that led to a system that best allows practitioners to quickly categorize a patient’s condition and arrive at a correct diagnosis. His emphasis on patient self care and empowerment was well before it's time and is a major influence today on the future of healthcare. This is why I use the McKenzie principles in our practice.
